It's strange, even though there are over 2 meters snow on the Saulier (and more to come) and some of the lifts are open for another 3 weeks the Courchevel pistes are starting to resemble a ghost town.
La Grange nightclub closed on the 31st March. Most of the 4 star luxe hotel are getting ready to close if they haven't already. With the exception of a select few tour operators most of them are closing down on the 12/13th .
And all because the early arrival of Easter this year. So where's it written that it's wrong to go skiing after Easter? And lo it came to pass on the third day he rose again and said 'you really should stop skiing and think about booking your summer holidays instead'.
Anyone who is here for the last weeks of the season had better have their livers in check because it's going to get some serious abuse.
It all kicks off with the ISBA bar closing night which has come forward a week to Sunday the 13th. Although the exact theme is secret the only warning is 'don't wear anything you want to keep'.
On the 14th the Jump bar is closed for their staff party so find an alternative venue to get drunk.
On Wednesday 16th is the End of Season ball at Chalet de Pierres.
After a few days rest the Kalico is closing on the Saturday 19th followed by the closing of the Jump bar on Monday the 21st
