For anyone who hasnÃt seen BBC SwitchÃs The season (lets call them the lucky ones) it follows the very dull love lives of a bunch of spoilt seasonnaires in Val dÃIsere. As it was made for Switch, which is aimed at teens, it means it couldnÃt contain any vices in any way. No smoking, no drinking, no nudity. Just good wholesome teen relationships. I know, pretty boring! What is less well known is back in October 2008 I was contacted by one of the programs creators who asked me, as an veteran of
Courchevel, if the resort would be a suitable place to have such a program in. As they described the group of seasonnaires they were looking for I replied in the negative and instead pointed them in the direction of Val. For those who are glad that
Courchevel was spared such mediocrity I accepted your praise. For anyone in Val who got caught up in it I apologise sincerely.
