This years t-shirts designs - get em while they're hot

Back in the 1990's when I started writing the enquirer there was nothing really to compare it to. I'm not saying I was a trend setter but thanks to technology, and most notably the internet being in it's infancy the only competition I had was with anyone with Guttenberg printing press. Facebook was a still a glint in Mark Zuckerberg's eye. There was no Twitter, probably because back then mobile phones were only used to make phone calls. The term "Blog" had only just been coined and my apartment was one of the only places in Courchevel were people could surf the internet. Even the digital camera I brought in 98 only had a 1.3 (there is a decimal point in there) megapixel sensor.

Over a decade has passed and of course where every you go you can always connect to wireless hotspots, your phone has more power than my laptop used to have and is connected constantly via 3G and now people let you know every single move they make as they make them. Got in Bubble lol! Since then many other resort magazines have appeared (and some disappeared). The wonderfully named The Horn from Zermatt, In Tignes there has been the Mountain echo, Tignes Scene and the Marmotte times. Although after finding several broken web addresses I'm not sure what is still being published.

Anyway, to finish, here are a short list of blogs i enjoy.
While doing the previous season in Courchevel I discovered the slightly filthy but never-the-less enjoyable musing under the nom de plumbe of Belle de Neige (belledeneige.blogspot.com/).
For a more cleaner but no less amusing outlook check out 2 of Christa's blogs dinner with the omnivore. (dinnerwiththeomnivore.wordpress.com) and It's all downhill from here (misplacedperson.wordpress.com). Both well worth reading.
Le Franco Phoney (www.lefrancophoney.com/) is written by a cute Austrailian who lives in La Clusaz.
Finally, and probably on a more serious note, have a look at my favourite photographer's Blog, Polly Baldwin who is current in India until Christmas taking photos for the charity Raleigh. pollysphotoblog.com
