Once again Chalet de Pierres did an excellent job hosting the ball. For the first time the snow was of sufficient quality so their snowcat could transport the guests from the Jump without needing a taxi. When the first one arrived up the mountain and a group of penguins leaped out of the cab onto the snow I knew it was going to be good. Truly on a par with anything Le ski have produced in 1650. Not to be overshadowed
Skival brought their very own zebra crossing and Gregg bared his udders in his cow outfit.
Every time food is mentioned at the ball it always comes under a lot of scrutiny especially as many of the seasonnaires are accomplished cooks. Are the portions tiny? Is it worth the price?
This year it couldn't be faulted. From the very large goat's cheese salad starter to the amazing, and I don't use that word inadvisably, tart tatine desert was worthy of Chalet de Pierres quality.
And finally the band, Bring your sisters, in my opinion, considering most people have heard them many times this season played an excellent set with help from the dulcet tones of Meeche.
