End of Season Ball

Once again Chalet de Pierres did an excellent job hosting the ball. Every years they out do themselves in being nice and hospitable. With the early closing of the Jump bar the before dinner drinks where included.
Every time food is mentioned at the ball it always comes under a lot of scrutiny especially as many of the seasonnaires are accomplished chefs. Are the portions tiny? Is it worth the price?
This year, once again, in my opinion it couldn't be faulted. From the very large goat's cheese salad starter to the amazing, and I don't use that word inadvisable, tart tatine desert was worthy of Chalet de Pierres quality.
And finally the band, Livewire, in my opinion, are one of the best in the alps. From the guitar antics of Diego to the dance competition hosted by Hoops it made it a truly memorable evening.
The end of season awards
The award for the most popular girl (a politically correct way of saying Slapper) was won (by only 2 votes) by Bex (Neilson).
The award for biggest male slapper was a very close two horse race between Russell(Skihigher) and Matt(Jump) who collectively have worked their way through nearly the entire female population of Courchevel, was won by Matt(Jump).
Quote of the season was won by Pete(Jump) after he brought the term ìAss Clownî into the Courchevel dictionary.
By a virtual landslide Abi(Skiworld) took the most talk it up award after purchasing a very expensive pair of skis that matched her ski outfit despite only using them on the Pralong run!
The best story of the season went to Jimbo(Jump) and Lucy(TJís) for their agent provacteur pantie sharing incident.
The last award, a personal thank you from the editor, was presented to Debbie(Inghams). Since issue 10 Debbie has written a little article called ìDebbie doesî covering a wide range of topics from demis to apres ski.
