Since the Ski show had finished I’ve been tying up loose ends before heading back to the snowy mountains of France. So I thought I would have one last visit to my local multiplex and what better to break my 3d cherry at the same time by going to see Jackass 3D. Now I’ve always been a bit sceptical about watching 3D with memories of flimsy card glasses with red/green lenses however those crappy glasses have been replaced by but equally ill-fitting rayban lookalikes. Oakley here’s an idea why don’t you make some nice 3D glasses.

So with glasses perched on my nose I was greeted by the trailer for the new Tron film (in 3D). AMAZING! As I’m old enough to have seen the original when it was released it was, to paraphrase Mr Cee Lo Green the difference between Atari and Xbox.

Now I’m sure whoever thought about 3D films didn’t have Jackass in mind when thinking about the final product. There were some truly excellent slow motion shots which really fly out at you including a low flying dildo that almost (virtually) hit me in the face. It’s rather like Alexander Graham Bell’s cousin coming up with the idea of heavy breathing after hearing about his relation’s invention.

So if you like seeing people receiving heavy blows to the head, bodily fluids of all type being spilt etc. then I would thoroughly recommend paying Johnny Knocksville team a visit.

Where did all the snow go?
Courch extra For many years webcam watchers have got very excited when there was an early pre season dump of snow and with the exception of Alan Hutchison(right), this year, get to actually ski on it. Of course the problem with early falls of snow is that they invariably melt with only the high peaks remaining covered. That’s not to say it won’t snow again (Snow forecast Sunday, Monday & Tuesday) and there is more than a month before the lifts open. So although I will keep you informed about almost every flake that hits the piste you can guarantee there will be enough when the Verdons bubble opens.
